Here are some marketing strategies to make this year’s Labor Day is a great one:

Know What Your Customers Are Looking For

This is the most important go-to because if you don’t know what your customers want, how can you tell them what to buy? It may sound confusing but it’s the way marketing works. Your customer comes to you with an item in mind, but if you’re good at marketing then they will leave with more than just what they came for. They just didn’t know they wanted those other products until you told them.

According to a 2019 survey, out of 3,100 adults, 86 percent said they hoped to get their shopping done over Labor Day weekend. For Labor Day weekend, some marketing strategies to think about is planning around family events such as traveling, going out, ordering food, BBQing, attending/hosting parties, or gathering with family, friends, and co-workers.

Try New Things

When it comes to your Labor Day marketing, be sure to try new things.

  • Change up your ads don’t use the same ones
  • Experiment with discounts, incentives, and promotions
  • Play around with content types and marketing channels
  • Change up your tone of voice and call to action
  • Create new visuals
  • Throw in free shipping

According to a survey, 50 percent of buyers avoided companies that did not offer free shipping.

Work With the Season

Labor Day signifies the end of summer. So, when it comes to Labor Day marketing, really try to play on this. Create ads that make people want to hurry up and buy that last-minute summer item before it’s gone!

Find Your Customers Where They Shop

More and more customers are shopping online. According to a 2019 survey, more people planned to buy online (76 percent of people) than in-person (24 percent of people). Online is the place to be in 2021, there are so many great options when it comes to online that are not offered in-store.
